Product executive · Energy data strategist · AI systems builder
I build data and AI products for complex technical domains — across energy, cloud platforms, and decision systems. I lead product strategy at the executive level, reason from the domain, and still write the code when the system needs to exist before anyone believes in it.
I turn complex technical domains into products, platforms, and decision systems.
I build products for complex technical domains. My work connects executive strategy, energy data, cloud architecture, and applied AI. I've led enterprise data and AI strategy, co-authored an O'Reilly book on infrastructure as code, published hundreds of technical essays, and built open-source systems that turn ideas into working software. I'm most useful where the problem has messy data, high stakes, deep domain context, and no clean playbook.
I lead data and AI product strategy where data quality, deployment models, domain workflows, and enterprise adoption decide the outcome.
Deep fluency in subsurface and production data — wells, reservoirs, unconventional development, and the technical workflows that run on them.
Open-source packages, working prototypes, and applied AI systems. I connect market, architecture, domain math, and product execution.
Where I work best: high-stakes technical fields where data is messy, the domain is deep, and there is no clean playbook.
I build small systems to test large ideas. Each one starts as a product question — what should exist, what would prove it, what data it needs, what decision it improves — and ends as working software. These demos are evidence, not content marketing.
An O'Reilly book, hundreds of technical essays, and open documentation — the written record of how I think about complex systems, architecture, and product judgment.
A practical guide to cloud-native applications and infrastructure as code. The book reflects a core theme in my work: complex systems become manageable when architecture, automation, and product judgment meet.
View on O'Reilly →Hundreds of essays on energy data, applied AI, cloud architecture, and product strategy — working through real problems in public, with depth and range.
Read on Medium →A sample of recent essays on energy data, applied AI, decision quality, and product strategy. I write constantly — these are just the latest; hundreds more are on Medium.
Production-grade Python packages and tools — geoscience, reservoir engineering, time-series, anomaly detection, and infrastructure risk. The proof that I build, not just advise.
I work where executive strategy, deep domain context, and working software meet. If that's your problem, let's talk.
